Memorizing is defined in the language as: not forgetting, persevering in something, and making a commitment to it, and in that, God Almighty said: (Preserve the prayers and the middle prayer);[and the verse is intended to encourage and build on the times of the missed prayers, Previously, memorizing the Noble Qur’an is meant by: completing its memorization, controlling it completely by heart, persevering and diligently persevering in what has been memorized from evasion or forgetting, and from the terms related to memorizing the Qur’an, the memorizer of the Qur’an; He is the one who has memorized the entire Qur’an, not just half of it, or a third of it only, with proper control, and with the provisions of recitation and recitation in full, provided that he always pledges himself to review what he has memorized completely. It is not acceptable to neglect to review the words of God, and repetition in the language is a source of the triple verb (repeat), and it is collected on repetitions, and it is intended by it: repeating more than once, and one after another.
How to memorize the Holy Quran by repetition
Memorizing the Great Qur’an is one of the best deeds that brings the servant closer to his Lord. It should be noted that every knowledge must be memorized, and memorization is only achieved by repetition, and thus perfection, constancy, and not forgetting is achieved, and good deeds and wages increase, and multiply; Repetition achieves memorization and great rewards, and the following is a statement of many ways that help a Muslim to complete memorization of the Noble Qur’an, and its covenant with revision, perfection, and confirmation:
The first method: memorization by sequential method, or what is called sequential memorization; And it is by specifying specific verses for memorization, then starting to memorize the first verse, and repeating it several times until the completion of its memorization. To master, then memorize the rest of the verses that were initially identified by repetition, as the first verse was memorized, then link the verses that have been memorized to each other, then repeat the entire verses more than once until they are mastered, then read them absent-mindedly more than once as well, and after So the memorized verses are recited; Looking at the Qur’an five times, and the same in absence, while making sure to recite the verses during prayers, and before going to sleep.
The second method: memorizing the Qur’an by compilation method, which is called collecting memorization. This is achieved initially by defining what will be memorized, then starting to memorize the first verse by repetition, then moving to the second verse, and memorizing it in the same way, as well as the rest of the specified verses until the completion of all the specified verses, after which it is necessary to recite the verses that have all memorized more than once ; Looking at the Qur’an, and then repeating it behind the back of the heart several times, up to the degree of mastery. It should be noted that this method is less stable and elaborate than the first method; As the memorizer did not link the verses to each other during his memorization, which may lead to forgetting some verses, although this method is suitable for those who are quick to memorize; It saves time and effort, but it is not recommended for beginners to memorizing.
