In order to ensure the safe operation of this large-scale DTH drill, a lot of preparation work has to be done in the early stage. Before the construction of the DTH Bit, the construction of the upper and lower shafts must be completed according to the design requirements of the production technology. The height of the special chamber for the DTH bit should be no less than 4m, the width of the roadway should not be less than 4m, and the length should not be less than 8m . Mine bins or downhole roadways must be kept safe and unobstructed, with normal ventilation and intact support, which is conducive to drainage and waste disposal.

For the construction of the drilling rig foundation, the drilling rig foundation shall be poured according to the construction drawing of the host machine foundation in combination with the given coordinates of the center of the mine bin or the reverse well. In practical applications, the weight of the down-the-hole drill bit and the torque and reverse drilling pressure generated during the operation are borne by the rig foundation. Therefore, the construction technology requirements of the rig foundation are relatively high, and its construction quality directly affects the quality of well completion. The base of the rig should be 3.5 m wide, 5.5 m long, and 1 m thick. And lay the track on the basis of the rig, the track surface must be kept level. When pouring the foundation of the drilling rig, it must be tamped to keep the scale level, and the scum on the upper surface should be cleaned up.

Before the drilling frame is stabilized, the cables and various pipelines of the power supply, water supply, drainage, and air pressure system must be connected to the work site. The power supply must have special equipment, the water supply must be able to meet the demand, and there is a certain water pressure, and the drainage ditch is dug out from the work site. If it does not have natural drainage conditions, a 5m³ temporary water tank must be constructed to connect the drainage pipe The road is connected to a temporary water bunker, and a drainage pump is installed with a drainage capacity of not less than 46m³/h.

When installing down-the-hole drill bits, you must also do a good job of drilling stability. The quality of stable drilling also directly affects the quality of well completion and has a greater impact on the working state of the drilling rig. If the drilling rig is shifted during operation, the vibration of the drilling rig will increase, and the drilling efficiency will be significantly reduced. In severe cases, the drilling rig, drill pipe, and drill bit will be damaged, or even the drilling will be interrupted, resulting in waste holes.
